Concrete Sealing in Northeast Ohio
Protect your driveway, patio, and sidewalks from Northeast Ohio's freeze-thaw cycles, road salt, and oil stains with a siloxane-silane penetrating sealer — keep the results of your power wash looking new for years.
Why Seal Your Concrete in Northeast Ohio?
Freeze-Thaw Defense
Ohio winters drive water into hairline cracks, then freeze and split the concrete. Sealer blocks that water before it ever gets in.
Road Salt & Deicer
Salt from your tires, plows, and sidewalk deicer chemically eats unprotected concrete. A penetrating sealer stops the reaction at the surface.
Oil & Stain Protection
Drips from cars, grills, and equipment bead up on sealed concrete and rinse off — instead of soaking in and staining permanently.
Our Concrete Sealing Process
New Concrete? We Soft Wash — No Pressure
Concrete continues to cure and harden for years. We soft wash newer concrete and avoid direct high-pressure cleaning on any slab less than four years old. This protects the surface while still removing dirt, algae, and stains before sealing.
Concrete Sealing FAQs
How often should I seal my concrete in Ohio?
In Northeast Ohio's freeze-thaw climate we recommend resealing driveways, patios, and sidewalks every 2–3 years. Heavily trafficked surfaces or those exposed to road salt may need annual touch-ups.
What kind of sealer do you use?
We use a premium siloxane-silane penetrating sealer. Unlike acrylic film-formers that sit on top and can peel or turn slippery, siloxane-silane reacts inside the concrete pores to repel water, salt, and oil without changing the surface texture.
Do I need to pressure wash before sealing?
Yes — sealer must bond to clean concrete. We always clean and let the surface fully dry before applying any sealer. Sealing dirty concrete traps stains and shortens the sealer's life.
Will sealing change the look of my concrete?
We offer both natural matte sealers (no shine, just protection) and wet-look sealers that enrich color. We'll show you sample boards before we start so there are no surprises.
How long until I can drive or walk on it?
Foot traffic in 6–8 hours, vehicle traffic in 24–48 hours depending on temperature and humidity. We'll give you exact cure times based on the day we apply.
Is concrete sealing worth the cost?
Yes — sealing prevents salt scaling, oil staining, surface spalling, and water intrusion that leads to cracks. Replacing a damaged driveway costs 10–20x more than sealing it.
Can you seal brand-new concrete?
New concrete should cure for at least 28 days before any sealer is applied. We also soft wash newer concrete rather than pressure wash it, and we avoid high-pressure cleaning on concrete less than four years old to protect the still-hardening surface.
